Today I'm going to talk about seven toxic myths about emotional abuse and then I'm going to give you examples

from a review of the podcast that a man wrote and then I'll go over seven powerful truths about emotional abuse a bit later.

So let's start with the seven toxic myths about emotional abuse.

Number one, women with strong opinions, religious views, or any other type of perspective should not be taken seriously.

Number two, emotional abuse advocates are usually just trying to find someone to listen to their

own story and aren't actually helping victims. Number three, if it doesn't include physical violence,

it's not abuse.

Number four, if it only happens once,

or if it's ongoing, it's not abuse.

Number five, a man can purposefully harm his wife, but that's not technically abuse.

Number six, pornography isn't abuse.

And number seven, betrayal isn't abuse.

Okay, so those are the toxic myths.

And this man's review illustrates every single one of these toxic myths.
