Hello everybody, this is Matthew Hussie with Love Life. I have an incredible show for you today,

So if you were to go to one of my first ever YouTube videos when I was fresh-faced and

small, supple and young, I was about 19, I think, when I made this video. It was how to tell if a guy

is attracted to you instantly and it did extraordinarily well, has over two million views now.

And it got me thinking we should probably update this video because I could probably do a better job of it now than I did then.

And it turns out that's true because I was thinking about what my answer would be to how to tell if a guy likes you,

that very simple question which really seems like a sort of high school question, doesn't it?

How do I tell if he likes me? But at the same time, there are so many people wanting to know the answer to this question

that it's unavoidable. We have to have a good answer for it. And in my video that I did back in the day,

I realized I was perhaps slightly too superficial in my answer. So feel free to go and watch that when you get a chance.

But I think I'm about to deliver the better answer to the question. So how to tell if a guy likes you,

the less superficial version than the 19-year-old me gave.

Firstly, does he, well, I was having a conversation with a friend where he said to me, you know, if he tries to impress you, then he probably likes you.

And I said, that may be true, but unfortunately, it's hard to separate that person from the narcissist who just enjoys impressing people.

Sometimes you go out at night, a woman, she could go out and have a guy describe how great his car is, or where he lives, the size of his house or whatever.

And it would seem like, oh, he's trying to impress me, he likes me. But we all know that that's more likely to mean he's trying to get into bed with you in the quickest easiest way possible.

So that doesn't necessarily mean he likes you. I would amend it to say the guy who likes you is the guy who shows he's impressed by you.

So when you talk about the things that you love doing, when you talk about your hobbies, your passions, your values, when you show your personality, this is the guy who is actually impressed by you as an individual, as a human being, and shows you the unique ways that he is impressed by you.

It might be as simple as him saying, I love that after all you've been through, you are still so positive. And you have this amazing thirst for life. And I love being around that energy. So you're inspiring to me.

When a guy says that, you know, he's actually impressed by you. He's not just trying to impress you. That was the first one. The second one is he's not afraid to be earnest about his affection for you.
