Summary

Set the tone for your day feeling grounded, light, and at ease with this guided meditation. (PS: I'll be sharing mini-meditations all through the month of May. They're intentionally short and sweet SO THAT YOU DO THEM! I hope you will join me and send me about what you think.)

I'll be publishing the meditations twice/week. If you haven't already, join our newsletter and I'll let you know when new ones are up: www.jasonyoga.com/newsletter

Hey everyone, I'm Andrea Ferretti and this is episode 263 of YogaLand.

0:11.0

As I promised in last week's episode, I am going to offer a series of

0:17.0

meditations for the next few podcasts, so for the month of May we're going to be

0:22.0

meditating together. After so many years of doing interviews and

0:28.0

combing through guest pitches and thinking about things and reading things, I

0:33.0

wanted a little mental break and I wanted to also share the practice of

0:38.0

meditation with you. When I was first introduced to meditation many years ago,

0:43.0

it was through some more strict austere practices and while I think that

0:50.0

those practices are so valuable at a certain time and place in your life,

0:56.0

I was equally grateful to a few years later be introduced to Sally

1:02.0

Kempton and her form of meditation, which is technically really more

1:06.0

tantric meditation, but with her own spin on it and what I took from her was

1:11.0

that meditation can be enjoyable, it can be filled with heart and it can be

1:18.0

all about coming into a deeper relationship with oneself. So that's what I

1:25.0

want to offer you with these meditations. I'm intentionally keeping them short

1:30.0

and sweet because I really want you to do them and I want you to be able to

1:35.0

integrate them into any part of your day. So this one that I'm going to offer you,

1:40.0

this first one is a morning meditation technically, but you can do it at any

1:43.0

time and you can do it anywhere. I don't recommend doing it while you're driving,

1:48.0

but other than that you can do it in your bed, you can do it from your couch in

1:53.0

the middle of your workday. You can do it in the middle of a walk if you want to

1:59.0

sit down on a bench, you can do it before your yoga practice. All that I hope
