instructor in Los Angeles, California. Oh, I just got the arrow in my ass from

that cup, but hello everyone, my name is John Rook, I'm a writer-producer

here in San Diego, California.

And we got such great feedback when we released

the slew of Christmas movies a few months ago

that we went, well well we have other holidays and

other themes we can celebrate and we decided to celebrate the theme of love by

releasing a series of what we think are the cinnphiles most romantic movies.

Yeah, this and starting off with punch-tunk love is an interesting decision, certainly because this is one of the most unusual romantic movies that has come out over the last few years.

And you know Steve, I've told you this before,

and I'm sure I've said this on the show before.

But to me, this movie and Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind

were the harbingers of the destruction of the romantic comedy. Like these two. the comedies and showed us what love is really like which is sometimes difficult,

sometimes navigating people's weird pecadillos, and but always feeling drawn to that

person for some unexplainable reason and I felt this movie is another is a really strong representation of the new approach to understanding and seeing love on screen.

You know it just occurred to me? I've always thought of this as kind of the anti-romantic

comedy in a lot of ways and because the character is particularly Adam Sandler's

character. I mean the guy is violent with its crazy angry temper, yeah.

But then I just suddenly went, you know what, Harry and Sally, they're both crazy.

And then even go back to the classic romantic comedy, like we did his girl Friday.
