Summary

Rejection and disappointment will wound us all, so how can we overcome the pain they bring? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the remedy for rejection found in Jesus. He shares the story of Joseph and his family, and how hurtful situations can affect people differently. Pastor Allen also shows how, no matter what circumstance we face, Jesus has provided the acceptance we seek. He teaches about the Divine Exchange, where Jesus traded his perfect holiness for our sins and hurts. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, we have been promised joy, honor, and glory in the midst of shame and rejection—and we can live in the freedom that provides.
