Luke and I had a nice night a few days ago during the holidays.

We went out for a drink.

Yep.

We didn't even record it.

Yeah, the plan was, happy New Year, by the way, everybody.

We were hoping to have this up before 2026 began.

But yeah, just to finish the story, Will and I were going to get together and record, then go for a drink. And we just decided, nope, let's just go for a drink and not have, you know, monetized conversation for a change.

You know what?

It was pretty nice.

We'll have to do this more often.

I thought that we would maybe go get a drink and then record

because I thought season one, Michael and us, if it was like midnight and we were just a little bit

drunk. I went back actually and listened recently to Michael and us, I want to say number eight or

something. I listened to our first episode about Michael Moore hates America. I was listening to it and I was thinking,

you know, we've come a long way. I think our craft has improved. But, you know, there's a kind of,

there's a kind of midnight quality to this that I appreciate. There's a kind of mood. There's

kind of in your mid-20s and it's midnight and you have a day job and you've had a bit to drink and no one to answer to

quality and uh and maybe 300 people tops are listening to this yeah and there is no you have no

stakes in it at all and it's just a lot of fun uh so we were we were trying to find ways that we

could recapture that vibe and maybe it can't be recaptured. And that's a tragedy because,

you know, as I'm always saying to you and on this show, what I think the world needs more than

anything, especially these days, is more podcasts where it's just people talking. And the audio is
