Summary
“By using our attention we learned a whole reality, a whole dream. We learned how to behave in society: what to believe and what not to believe; what is acceptable and what is not acceptable; what is good and what is bad; what is beautiful and what is ugly; what is right and what is wrong. It was all there already — all that knowledge, all those rules and concepts about how to behave in the world.”
Ruiz, Don Miguel. The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (A Toltec Wisdom Book Book 1)
Nothing in this world has anything to do with us. Nothing we do has anything to do with anyone else. It all has to do with the way we were raised, and what we were taught to believe.
I started reading The Four Agreements, and one of the agreements really stood out to me, Don’t Take Anything Personally.
As I heard this and then went out into the world looking for evidence that it is true, I have been blown away by how often this truth reveals itself.
In todays episode I dive into how this shows up for me, and for some of my clients. In hopes that you can find places in your life where you’re taking things personally that have nothing to do with you… or, where you might be hurting someone who is taking your actions personally, even though it has nothing to do with them.
Tune in and then let me know where you are able to find this truth in your own life.
See you inside💥
