So I thought today I'd talk about little foxes,

those little foxes that spoil the vineyard

from Song of Songs, chapter 2, verse 15.

Catch us the foxes.

The little foxes that spoil the vines

for our vines have tender grapes.

So often it is its little sins,

the little grumpy attitudes that slip in

and spoil our peace and joy.

A little anxiety, a little fear,

little impatience or envy or competition or discontent,

a little resentment,

a little bitterness, a little gossip,

a little slander, I guess I could keep going.

I don't know who said loose lips, sink ships,

but it's the same idea.

The little fox is not a big intimidating wolf,
