Thanks so much for joining me today.

So I thought today the topic will be the first part of verse 8 from Psalm 40.

And I noticed this verse when we were singing it in church singing Psalm 40 this past Sunday

and I'm sure I've probably sung it a hundred times.

But the line that jumped out to me was this, to do your will, oh God, to me is my delight.

And I noticed when we sang it and I thought, whoa, do I always view doing God's will as my delight?

Well certainly yes, sometimes, hopefully often.

But always and I came up short and I thought I need to think about this.

So I looked up the Psalm and this is how it is in the New King James.

It's the same really the same exact thing we worded a little differently.

But I delight to do your will, oh my God.

So to do your will, oh God, to me is my delight.

I delight to do your will.

So I delight.

And what is it to delight?

Well, it's to take real pleasure and to enjoy.

I enjoy to do your will.

To do your will, oh God, is my enjoyment, my pleasure, my delight.

So thought I would spend a few minutes just figuring this out and thinking about it and hopefully

encouraging you in it.
