Summary

In today's episode, Gina shares the practice of using a one word touchstone to help us during our experience of anxiety. Similar to a traditional New Year's resolution, but often involving more focus and awareness, using a one word touchstone can help ground us during trying times and help us see good things we may not otherwise witness.

Actually at the end of 2012 for 2013 I had decided on the word

1:27.0

unapologetic and I guess tough times require tough words and it helped me all year long. I remember

1:38.0

wanting to have a nicer word. I was in a group with this particular coach and everyone else had some really awesome and kind of nice words.

1:50.0

Yet I couldn't leave my unapologetic word behind. It just wouldn't go away. So it was and I am

1:59.4

thankful to this day that I didn't shy away from such an odd and strong word. It really did

to come up with your word, if what comes to you is not sweet or pretty or even something that you think other people would approve of or

2:29.1

maybe it's not tough enough maybe you think it's too soft, whatever. Give it a chance. It may be exactly

2:36.8

what you need to carry around with you for a while, so give it a chance. Members of my group coaching

have been posting their one words for 2021

in our private Facebook group,
