Summary

In this podcast episode, I will discuss how the attitude of "never enough" can lead to a form emotional abuse that we inflict on our selves. I will discuss the idea of how letting go of the unhealthy views, ideas, and beliefs we have of ourselves can lead to a form of liberation where we are finally vulnerable and free to fly.

Or this house is great, but it would be better with a pool or same with our jobs.

1:15.7

This job would be great, but if I could just get paid more or if I had a better title or if I could get moved up to the office with the corner window view,

whatever it is, there's this tendency to think of never enough.

1:28.7

We're always seeking after more.

1:30.9

We do this with our relationships.

1:33.9

We do this with our experiences and our feelings.

1:37.5

You can be feeling great about something in life, but that's never enough.

1:41.6

We're always looking for the next thing.

1:44.0

And I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing.

1:46.2

I think this tendency has driven us as individuals, but also collectively as a species, as a society,

1:56.7

to be able to make leaps and bounds in terms of comforts, technological innovations,

2:03.7

because there is this drive that seems to motivate us for a better life and it's always happening.

2:10.8

So I don't want to give off the impression that this is necessarily a bad thing,
