Thank you. live a purposeful and fulfilling life. Let's go. All right. Welcome to episode 656. Hello, my friend. Welcome to a fresh new episode of New Mindset, Who Dis? As always, thank you so much for listening. Thank you for supporting me. And today, I want to talk about something that I've just coined on the spot here, the transitive property of embarrassing yourself. Of course, not a scientific explanation by any means, but it's something I've noticed when it comes to allowing

1:12.0

yourself to be cringe, to be embarrassing, to be a beginner, to take an awkward first step,

1:17.1

to shoot your shot, whatever it is, finding freedom in the act of doing that thing instead of

1:23.3

embarrassment, the thing that we are so wired to avoid at all costs. And this realization came

1:30.0

from something I did this past week. If you don't know on Instagram, you might know that I first

1:56.8

the most crowded areas like on Michigan Ave or on the river walk or on State Street because

2:00.8

I liked having a really active background with people, kind of added some energy and context to the

2:06.8

quote. But because of this, when I first started at least, I always felt so awkward to be standing

2:13.7

there, a grown man holding a cheesy sensitive quote while people stared at me and watched.

2:20.0

It was like, you know, taking a selfie is sometimes awkward enough doing it while holding a quote

2:24.3

is another thing. And I would just be so embarrassed by it. It felt so embarrassing. And I, you know,

2:29.9

I would try to take the picture real quick so people wouldn't get a good look at it, right? And, you know, now, of course, in retrospect, that behavior of trying to avoid the embarrassment,

2:39.3

that was the cringe part, right? Me, Case, the guy who shares his feelings for a living trying to

2:45.1

hide my art, trying to hide the thing that I'm so passionate about. But regardless, fast forward now, after doing this
