0:46.5	I thought it might be fun to change it up for the summertime and this week for the first time
0:52.4	we're taking a jump into my fiction books.
0:56.0	So I've actually never shared these audiobook chapters with y'all here on the podcast.
1:00.5	And I'm hoping that if you loved this series when it first came out, this is a fun way to revisit.
1:07.0	And if you've never heard of these books before, maybe you didn't even know that I wrote fiction, I hope to entertain you with some chapters here.
1:15.8	Party Girl, which is where we're going to start,
1:18.2	the start of the series, was the first book that I ever wrote.
1:23.0	It was the first book I ever wrote,
1:25.0	and I ended up self-publishing this book
1:28.0	because no publisher would publish it,
1:32.0	which was really sad and really hard,
1:34.5	and also ended up being a great lesson for me
1:38.6	in not taking no for an answer.
1:41.2	I realized when I was sort of in the midst of this despair of, oh my gosh, nobody wants my book and I'm not a good enough writer. I was like, wait, I've already written the book.
1:52.0	Writing the book is the hardest part.
