And then we touched the dreaded orange wine topic towards the end.

And then you decided to give it a rest.

You said, hey, I've been here eight years and I want I want someone else to have these keys absolutely yeah so

That time frame there was a five-year span between the time I passed and the time I left.

When I did pass, I did, I went to them and they were just like,

oh, you're going to quit.

I'm not going to quit.

It's actually a common thing, you know, people pass their, whatever it is they're doing and they quit. They go to the big

metropolitan area. Go work for a distributor or whatever it is. Yeah get off the

floor and that's and that's fine you know there's there's no wrong decision.

For me, I wasn't done being on the floor.

And, but I did go to my boss at the Nell, and I said, look, you know, I don't, I won't ask you for any more money ever.

I just also need the fall shoulder season off.

It was like spring.

They didn't lock the door, but nobody was there.

So, you know, it's game on all summer, long, game on all winter long, but spring and fall, the mud seasons, I just got out.

And that was the moment where I thought, you know, it's one thing to read about it and understand it academically, but it's another thing to actually go and get dirty. So let's go make some wine.
