I'm Levy Dalton and this is all drink to that where we get behind the scenes of the wine business. Oh, Recently I sat down and had a really fascinating in-depth conversation with Richard Betts, who has brought many different faucets to the the wine world including working as a

solmeer working as a negotiate wine producer in different parts of the world working

in the liquor business we covered a lot of ground and what we decided to do in a first for the show

was share it all with you. So rather than cut out large portions of what we talked about,

we decided to release the entire interview as two separate parts.

In part one, which you'll hear shortly, we discuss how Richard got started with food and wine

and his development as a somere in Aspen.

So you started your younger days in the old Tucson, Arizona there and he decided to go off to college

and what happened after that?

Ooh, fun Oh fun ensued. A lot of time on the beach, lots of recreational

drugs, all kinds of good music, you know it was Los Angeles. It was a bright like big city, happy moment for a kid from the

old Pueblo of Tucson, Arizona. So you left the old town behind and you left the old town behind

hit the bright streets?

You know, how that song go?

Never Going Back to Georgia?

Yeah, that was my song except never go back to Tucson.
