Something that I literally woke up and dove into last night. I couldn't sleep it was just one of those nights

where I literally just couldn't figure out how to turn my brain off. It was

doing the old playing awkward memories from 10 years ago kind of thing, running

through the imaginary to-do list and you know doing the thing from 10 years ago kind of thing, running through

where you calculate, if I fell asleep right now,

how many hours would I sleep, right?

Just one of those nights, right?

The more I tried to sleep, the more I tried to feel tired the less tired and the more wired I felt and you know as I'm sure you are I'm familiar with concepts like paradoxical thinking and process theory maybe not by those names but you know that if I say don't think of a yellow car you think of a yellow car

we know that trying to really focus on something sometimes a lot of the

times it leads to the opposite right and in the case of trying to fall asleep

trying to focus on falling asleep and being tired it makes you not fall asleep.

So kind of the same idea applies here.

It's a bit of a paradox.

Trying to do something results, trying to do something too hard, being too hyper fixated on it, results in not doing it at all.
