welcome back to another episode of Arnold's Pump Club. Today, I want to give you a different

0:06.5

perspective on motivation that I haven't seen anyone discuss. Every time I ask all of you to

0:12.4

send me your goals and achievements, I get inspired. I love seeing the emails from our members who

0:18.1

have lost 30 pounds or hit a new personal record in the gym or committed to a workout routine for

0:24.0

the first time. And I love hearing about the big goals for your weight loss, for upcoming weddings,

0:29.6

or building up your strength for powerlifting meets. And saw that some of you had a simple goal.

0:36.4

Just get out of bed. I have talked about this before, but the village has more than doubled in size

0:42.1

since then. So I'm going to talk about it again. This village is for everyone. I know we share

0:48.8

stories and studies every day. And we hope to convince you of the power of resistance training and

0:55.7

living a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. But I know that some of you feel really stuck and I want

1:02.6

1:08.2

in the morning, that's okay. The last time I talked about this, I said, there are even days

1:13.4

when I just feel like crap. I don't want to do anything. The world feels like it is black and

1:17.7

white instead of in color. And on those days, I make myself go on my bike ride like every other day.

1:26.8

And normally, by the time I get to the gym, I feel better. If I don't, I just keep riding. I want

1:34.0

you to know that if you're in one of those impossible periods in your life, it is brave to get

1:39.2

professional help. If your body was hurt, you'd go to a professional. It's no different with your

1:45.4

mind. But I also want you to know that even though I ask you to have a big vision, sometimes the

1:52.1

best thing is to remember the little goals that are the path. Your motivation might sound stupid

1:57.8

to anyone but you, but if it works for you, that is all that matters. I want you to know that it

2:03.9

is completely normal if your motivation is something that you would never want to admit to the world.

2:10.1

I had a friend who struggled through long rides on the exercise bike at the gym. He told me he hated it.
