welcome back to the quarter of the day show I'm your host Sean Crox and the

Sean Crox and dot com we've got Steve Harvey on the show today and today's clip is a

rather brief clip but I tell you it is some of the best advice you will ever get

I remember somebody told me one day he said Sean when you're the smartest person

in the room you need to get out of that room and I remember also reading somewhere

I think it may have been Jim Rohn who said that your income will always be the

average of the five people you spend the most time with so if you want to

change yourself if you want to change your circumstances and conditions if you

want to change your level of success you have to change your circle it doesn't

mean that you have to kick all your friends to the curb but as I always say and

by proctor taught me this go less often don't stay as long and make it an

intention to put yourself in rooms where you know the least because when you

know the least you have the most room to grow here Steve if you're a person

where all your friends come to you with a problems that's because they see

something in you you're more balanced and stable but you got to remember this

old saying if you're the smartest person in your group you need a new group

you've got to you've got to upgrade your friends it ain't nothing bad you just

got to upgrade people in your life but if you're the smartest person in your

group you need a new group you cannot be the go to person in the group I hire

people who know things I don't know I hire people because I don't have no

education I ain't really all that you know bookwise and that ain't me but I hire
