Thanks for joining me today.

Not today I talk about a very bread and butter subject,

which is why we read the Bible.

And what are just, just have time today to talk about a couple

of the benefits and blessings and advantages of being a Bible reader,

not just struck me recently in Romans 15 to 4.

It says for whatever things were written before,

we're written for our learning that we, through the patience

and comfort of the scriptures, might have hope.

This was just such an encouraging verse I just paused.

It's like, all right, I want to think about this.

And hopefully give you some encouragement from it.

It's funny because this verse isn't an example of what it is saying

because the verse itself is a comfort, isn't it?

And we're learning as we read it.

Like, oh yes, the Old Testament was written for our learning

and how much more than New Testament,

it's a tremendous treasure that we have

and we have most of us probably multiple copies of it on our shelves

in many different translations.
