Former President Donald Trump appeared to cast doubt on whether he'll debate Vice President Kamala Harris next month during a campaign event in Detroit, Michigan today.

He questioned whether the ABC debate would happen, as he talks about the time he met with Texas National Guard members on the southern border last

Thanksgiving while railing against terrorists on border security.

They flew almost a million people in over the border.

They flew.

That stops all of their, I shouldn't say this because if there's a debate

it would be nice to surprise it with that one. They flew. They'll have to have an answer to everything. Well, we decided.

At an event in Virginia earlier today, Trump said he'd rather have the mics on throughout the debate,

despite his team pushing to keep the mics muted when it's not a candidate's turn to speak,

like when he debated President Joe Biden.

CNN's Eva McKend explains how Harris's team is responding.

The Harris campaign believes the debate issue is resolved following former President

Donald Trump's comments that this all doesn't matter to him.

But bottom line, they think that with the mics unmuted, Trump will interject, rant, rave,

and air his own personal grievances.

Negotiators working to secure a ceasefire agreement and hostage release deal between Israel and Hamas,

resumed talks in Cairo today after meeting over the weekend.

White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby says the

discussions will continue for at least the next few days as they hammer out the details

of a potential agreement.

I think it's safe to say that the issues they're going to be talking about are of a much more detailed specific nature than we've typically been able to talk about.
