President Joe Biden continues to remain relatively quiet

on the pro-Palestinian campus protests across the nation.

The President has previously condemned anti-Semitism, and today White House Press Secretary

Corinne Jean-Pierre said Biden also condemns taking over campus buildings.

This says the fallout continues after violent clashes at UCLA last night

between pro-Palestinian demonstrators and counter-protesters,

some of whom were pro-Israel.

Pro-Palestinian protesters say the university did nothing to stop an attack on their encampment.

And California Governor Gavin Newsom said law enforcement's quote, limited and delayed response

to the incident was unacceptable.

But the university said medical teams and police were immediately called to the scene,

according to the school's independent student-run newspaper.

Student Catherine Hamilton was covering the protest for that student paper last newspaper. students and that they are adults. They threw things such as electric scooters and

there was also a lot of pepper spray and mace throughout the air. Counter-protesters

also launched fireworks at the encampment repeatedly.

Meanwhile, the U.S. House has just voted to pass the Anti-Semitism Awareness Act, which more

broadly expands the definition of anti-Semitism.
