This episode was recorded live from Manchester, where I had the opportunity to interview

one of the most inspiring people I know.

Monroe Bergdorf is a British model and activist.

As a model, they have graced the covers of countless magazines, fronted countless

campaigns and walked on countless runways, and used their voice to create huge positive change

within the fashion industry and beyond. As an activist for diversity and the rights of the

LGBTQ plus community, they have spoken at Oxford, Cambridge and Princeton University,

started in a Channel 4 documentary on gender and identity and won an award for Changemaker of the

Year at the 2018 Cosmopolitan Awards. They are a true, true hero of mine and an incredible

force for good within the trans community and our countries.

Okay, first question. Monroe, are you a feminist?

Yes.

That's good.

It would have been embarrassing if I'd hesitated then, wouldn't that?

Yeah, well, I asked that question that we're going to be a broadcast.

And normally, if anyone said, no, I think I judged them a lot and maybe ask them to leave.

But I think for you, the feminist movement has actually done a lot to let down your community and, you know, you in the past.

And so actually, I think you're someone I wouldn't be surprised.
