This week we are talking about last minute, low budget gift ideas.

I know you need some of. How's your advent going?

Mine has been really beautiful, not perfect. I'm not going to tell you it's been perfect.

And I'm not going to tell you I've been perfect about some of the extra prayer that I've been hoping to take on during the season. But I'm just trying to be aware every day of the gift that this

season is. And I've really been focusing on not stressing about the things I can't control,

not stressing about perfection, which is such a temptation this time of year, not stressing

about the kinds of things that just happen,

that are imperfect, that aren't what we planned,

that aren't what we wanted.

We kind of build up these ideals of what the Christmas season is going to be

and what our Advent's going to look like going up to it.

And I guess I've been through enough now that I have a little bit of perspective.

So I've really been enjoying this Advent season.

One thing that's really been bringing me joy is a playlist that I had the opportunity to put together with Catholic mom.com.

I just solicited people's ideas for Advent music as opposed to the Christmas music.

We all have our Christmas lists.

We all hear Christmas music everywhere we go.

But I wanted a playlist that was specifically for Advent with songs that are focused on the season of

Advent, this idea of watching and waiting, focused on Mary and her pregnancy and longing for the Lord.
