Today we're going to copter over to the rooftop of a Midtown Manhattan Hotel.

Then we're going to hop out and head down to the 14th floor where in my room I've set up an impromptu recording studio. Why did I go through all that trouble?

Because I knew that I was going to be in New York City on an overlapping day with the great Joel Hoekstra.

Where do you start with a guy like Joel Hoekstra?

He's done almost too much exciting stuff to cover in one episode.

But of course, we're going to cover it all, all and he's gonna play a ton of guitar for you I love the way he plays man it was 10 in

the morning coffee barely kicked in and I started recording right away even if he

didn't want me to he's just that good sorry Joel but if you play like that

people are gonna hit record which is exactly what happened on the new white snake

album they brought Joel in to play with the great lead singer David Coverdale,

who fronts White Snake, alongside the great guitarist Reb Beach,

and they did a new album called Purple.

It's all Deep Purple songs updated with huge mixes and epic guitar solos

and epic arrangements just jumping out of your speakers.

Focusing on David Coverdale's years when he

used to sing with Deep Purple. It's really happening. It sounds great. And I think it's on Frontiers,

which is the same label that is putting out Joel Hoxtra's new album called Joel Hoekstra's 13, Dying to Live.

You've got to check this out. This is a starsteaded affair, and of course he's going

to tell you all about it, and he put his heart and soul into it and wrote all the music and lyrics.

It's just so great to see everything going right for Joel because he so totally deserves it,
