Danette Ousley is a mother, grandmother, and survivor from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I first met Danette Owsley in January of 2023 at a survivor's event for victims of all

types of crimes. The event centered around healing and community and will be included in an

impending documentary by Vice about the genre of true crime.

I had him since he was going on two months and he is now 14 months.

I've worked from the age of 15 from working with my father with the insurance agency, then being a billing clerk and dispatcher with the railroad

and a big trucking company. I put others before myself always thinking

about the next person, trying to help them. That's just who I am. I make those sacrifices.

And sometimes it's very difficult. Sometimes I'd be a little unsure like, oh, should I have done this?
