It's just been nonstop. It's madness. It's just nonstop. Once one house goes, the next one goes, the next one goes. The most destructive wildfire in LA County's history is raging on,

and Newblazes continue to break out. At least five people are dead, but California

Governor Gavin Newsom says that number is expected to rise. The devastation, they hear people

wailing and crying, concern about their pet, their family, they're just bewildered about what's

what they're experiencing. Most of the flames are out of control, and the largest blaze, the Palisades fire,

has exploded to more than 17,000 acres.

It's destroyed at least 1,000 structures, as homes and businesses continue to burn,

and officials urge people to listen to evacuation orders.

Thousands of firefighters are risking their lives battling the flames, with some working

36- and 48-hour shifts. All schools in the LA Unified School District will be closed today,

and in the Pacific Palisades, two schools have been burnt to the ground.

There are also concerns that the fires could create dangerous air quality levels,
