A dangerous heat wave continues to scorch parts of the Midwest and Northeast, and record-breaking temperatures are expected again today.

New York City could see a seventh consecutive day of temperatures at or above 90 degrees, tying the longest stretch of the decade,

and the longest stretch ever in June. Meanwhile, the sea is expected to hit 100 degrees for the first time
