Hello from CNN, I'm Joe Beck, with the five things you need to know for Tuesday, March 5th.

It's Super Tuesday and former President Donald Trump is on track to potentially win more primaries

and caucuses than any previous Republican candidate other than an incumbent.

Fifteen states will be voting in Republican primaries today, with more than a third of GOP delegates

up for grabs.

On the Democratic side, 16 states are set to vote, with an equally large

number of delegates for the taking. President Joe Biden is expected to sail through the competition,

despite coming straight off a bit of a wake-up call in Michigan,

where more than 100,000 primary voters cast protest ballots against his stance on Israel's

war in Gaza.

For Republicans, the big question is whether Nicki Haley's campaign can gain any traction,

as she's only won one primary so far in Washington, D.C.
