The biggest day on the presidential primary calendar so far has arrived. It's Super Tuesday. But neither former

President Donald Trump nor President Joe Biden really need to sweat the

competition. Trump is expected to potentially win more primaries and caucuses than any other non-incumbent

Republican presidential candidate before him.

Sixteen states are voting, with more than a third of Republican delegates up for grabs.

CNN's Elena Trine is in Richmond, Virginia,

following the Trump campaign.

They are very confident about how he is going to perform today,

but they're also very aware that Nicki Haley has not said what she is going to do beyond Super Tuesday.

We know that she had pledged to stay in the race at least through today.

I know from my conversations with Donald Trump's senior

advisors they're really hoping to see her drop out. They are very eager to have him

be the presumptive Republican nominee as early as possible. People waiting in line to vote today are likely to see some wet

weather with a Pacific storm continuing to hit parts of California, snow showers in parts of

Colorado and Utah and severe storms across much of the southeast.
