September 6th. The Georgia High School Shooting Suspect is set to make his

first court appearance today as his father has been charged

with second-degree murder. Authorities say 14-year-old Colt Gray fired an AR-style

rifle at Appalachian High School Wednesday, killing four people and injuring nine others.

A young person brought a gun into a school, committed an evil act, and he took lives and he injured many other people not only physically but mentally

Colt Gray has been charged with murder and will be tried as an adult

meanwhile the director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, says they've taken steps to hold the teenager's father, Colin Gray, accountable, charging him with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder, and 8 counts of cruelty to children.

These charges stem from Mr. Gray knowingly allowing his son coat to

possess a weapon.

CNN is working to find out whether Colt or Colin Gray have legal representation

and has made several attempts to contact the father.

The planet just endured its hottest summer on record for the second

straight year. We asked CNN's Laura Patterson about this alarming trend.

Hi Joe so yes scientist at Copernicus, Europe's climate change service have confirmed

this summer was the planet's hottest on record, breaking the previous record set just

last year.

And for the many parts of the world that have enjoyed these brutal

deadly temperatures this year this may not come as a surprise. Global heat was unprecedented.

The world lived through its hottest June on record, then in July the hottest days ever recorded,

and last month was a joint hottest August on record.

And all of this puts 2024 firmly on track to be the hottest year in recorded history.
