Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five-day-a-week daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, and our heart.

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

0:14.2

I saw this conversation going on Twitter just recently about what it means to be meek.

0:19.9

Some women were throwing it around that it means this or it

0:22.8

means that and I'll never forget one time my mother who happens to be a quiet and soft-spoken woman.

0:29.3

She and I have very different personalities, but she said this one time and I'll never forget it.

1:33.8

often big mouth. Tai Bay girls just couldn't be meek. Strong girls couldn't be meek. These are the

1:41.0

things I thought. And so I remember I had to teach on this concept one time

1:44.5

in a Bible study, and I was so sure that it was going to be a disaster because surely I couldn't

1:49.4

teach on something I was never going to be able to achieve. But the reality is that not only

1:55.6

is meekness, not weakness, it is actually a trait of great strength because meekness is really humility. And as we've

2:03.4

already talked about on here, that's something quite difficult for most of us to exercise in our life
