Full disclosure, today's show may eat my lunch a bit. Yeah. The Lord has been convicting me of something, and I want to talk about it today on

today's daily, but I'll give you this small warning before we dive in. I'm still working through it,

so consider this episode just like me, a definite work in progress. Humility.

That's what I want to talk about today.

Well, it's not really what I want to talk about, but it's what I need to talk about.

And, of course, on the other side of that is pride, which is what really led me to this topic.

Several months ago, I sensed the Lord pressing me to read and study about pride and how it might be manifesting in my

life in some subtle ways and particularly in some relationships. So I started doing that.

Humility is the antidote for pride, so I've stayed landed there to learn all I can.

And here's the thing I've sort of come up with.

Humility is going to require me to give up dibs on my perceived ownership of everything, really.

There's literally no way around this.

When I have dibs on my husband's spiritual life and I think he's not doing what I

want him to do, that's being prideful. When I believe things need to be run in a certain way in my church

and they aren't, or I feel I should be picked for something I'm not, that's me trying to own and

manage things that are not my territory.

Entitlement is pride.

And at the end of the day, these are things that Satan was when he wanted to be equal with God.

That is not company I want to be in.

Proverbs 1533 says this.
