Hi everyone, so today we're doing in the heat of the night and before we've gone into the

episode, you know, many of you know that we record these episodes weeks or even months in advance and

sometimes that has to do with just our complicated scheduling and sometimes it has to do

with movies that seem appropriate to a certain time and and so when we

recorded in the heat of the night we definitely knew that it was topical,

and it's the 50th anniversary of the film.

But we did know just how topical, and as I was editing the film yesterday,

Charlottesville actually came up, and this is long before any of the stuff that's happened over the weekend and John brought it up and I was like

And I wanted to just explain sort of what happened John what's your connection to Charlottesville? Yeah, you'll hear this as the later on in the podcast that I mentioned my connection to Charlottesville and I mentioned my connection to who is a city manager there Maurice Jones and some of you who watched the coverage over the weekend of Charlottesville
