We're studying self-concept and

identity which is really just a fancy term for self-confidence. It's how we think

and feel about ourselves. Now this is something that all humans struggle with from time to time but I believe

it's more intense for those of us with ADHD. We've received so many negative messages throughout our

lives and we've messed up so many times that we often adopt a super low

self-concept.

We have all kinds of negative thoughts about ourselves,

and we are filled with shame and self-loathing.

So we struggle to define our identity

outside of what we do or what we don't do.
