Summary

This week I am joined by Lauren Martin, founder of Words of Women and author of The Book of Moods. Five years ago, Lauren Martin was sure something was wrong with her. She had a good job in New York, an apartment in Brooklyn, a boyfriend, yet every day she wrestled with feelings of inferiority, anxiety, and irritability. So naturally, she figured out her moods and wrote a book in the process! We dive into all of it for this week's current mood convo!

Welcome back to mood with Lauren Elizabeth. I'm Lauren Elizabeth and today I'm

0:04.8

going to be joined with another Lauren Martin and ironically she just released

0:12.2

as of today or yesterday because if you can't tell I don't know what date is

0:18.1

and that is because I woke up and today is Wednesday which is super funny

0:23.2

because I upload on Wednesdays and what's funny about that is that I'm

0:27.4

recording on Wednesday. Get it? It's funny. I forgot it's Wednesday. I'm behind.

0:32.5

So usually I'm behind because I'm procrastinating and I have a lot of things on my

0:37.1

plate but I was trying to relax and I haven't looked at my phone and

0:41.9

therefore I legitimately forgot it was Wednesday for like a minute but we're

0:47.3

here. We're back. So I'm so excited to have Lauren Martin on. We talk all about

0:52.5

her new book called The Book of Moods. It's how I turned my worst emotions into

0:56.9

my best life. I absolutely love her story. Her book is kind of like the happiness

1:01.2

project meets so sad and it's hilarious. It's witty. It's honest and she really just

1:07.0

kind of goes on this mental health journey but is also a writer. So she actually

1:11.7

takes all these notes and compiles all of these quotes of other women and she

1:16.5

started this Instagram account called Words of Women which you might follow. It's

1:19.9

she has this amazing story. The book is so so good. She shares her journey to

1:25.1

infuse her life with a sense of peace and stability with observations that will

1:29.3

resonate and inspire. She dives into the universal triggers every woman faces.

1:33.4

So we're gonna get all into that but first let's jump into best mood and worst

1:38.5

mood of the week. My best mood this week is finally wrapping up the year with a

1:44.7

mother freaking bow. This year has obviously been so challenging in a plethora of
