Summary

Ever got some success with your weight, career, relationship, or something in life, only to go blow it, ruin it, and be back to square one? It's really common; losing weight and putting it back on again, getting in a relationship only to get in an argument and split up, to get selected for something then blow your chance, or get 1/2 way to a promotion and blow it. In this short podcast I explore the reason why we sabotage our own success with a very personal story about how I nearly lost the most precious thing in my life. The only question will be, are you willing to explore why after hearing this? Seeking the truth is the only path to success.

What stimulated this podcast? The book 'The Big Leap' by Gay Hendricks, excellent book.

limits and the reality is, as this book details, we all limit ourselves we limit ourselves through our beliefs

0:47.0

through our experiences the people around us and that's why I talk a lot about the

power of environment because our environment,

0:55.2

our thoughts, the people around us, our work, our habits, all of this stuff shapes our actions, shapes our potential.

1:04.0

And if you're an individual that's looking to improve their body,

1:09.0

improve their mind, improve their relationship, anything, then we've got to understand the barriers in our way to be able

1:17.3

to break through them.

1:18.9

And some people break through them easily with momentum, you know, we look look to change something there's not much in

1:24.4

our way we create a plan we go for it we create early success and that success

1:30.6

just creates this massive snowball of momentum, but then other people have

1:36.1

trouble doing this because there's things in their way. Might be their belief system,

1:40.5

might be people around them, might be time, it might be lack of sleep, there's lots of

1:44.8

different things. So anyway, I got recommended this book for a friend, James Moody, who we chat to about just personal development, business, being a better version of ourselves and that's my jam.
