Hi this is Steve. With the release of Christopher Nolan's film Dunkirk last week

there has been a lot of talk about World War II films and John and I thought it would be a

great idea to explore one on the cinephiles. The problem is, which one? After all, there have probably been

more movies made about World War II than any war in history. Should we try something heavy

like saving Private Ryan or the Thin Red Line?

A great character study like Patton or a comedy like Stolic 17.

There was also films about civilians caught up in the war like Casablanca.

Oh, and then there's the amazing bridge on the River Quai.

Or we could dig into Holocaust films like Schindler's List, The Piano, and life is beautiful.

Truth is just saying the names of great movies like this gets me excited for future episodes.

But this week, John and I wanted to dig into something fun.

And since this year is the 50th anniversary we decided to do one of the
