| 0:00.0 | What's going on everyone? Welcome to the fit, healthy, and most of all happy podcast. |
| 0:05.0 | I am your coach and host Josh here with. |
| 0:07.3 | This co-host and co-coach KG and I'm in the garage. |
| 0:12.2 | And we got a really fun action-packed episode. |
| 0:15.1 | If you listen to episode last week, Kyle did a little rapid fire to me. |
| 0:18.8 | So I went ahead and titled it, Kyle's Secretist's Success. So we we're going to be going through I believe I have seven good questions for Kyle which will be really fun we're going to be talking about how to improve your form of the gym and the easiest way to go about it and we're also going to be talking about AI workout apps this is a question we got I think it's very relevant and trendy and it's fun to kind of keep up with the modern trends of what's going on and our opinions and thoughts on them. So a lot of great stuff for this episode to be excited about. And as always, I like to kick it off with a quote and I'm going to share my quote first this week. So I actually said to the gym, I'm like, you got to hear this quote. And I said to Kyle, discipline is doing what you hate to do, but doing it like you love it. And he's like, that was my quote two weeks ago. And I'm like, oh, what's my bad? Like, it's funny too, because sometimes you'll hear things at different times. It'll hit you different. And I know even I've had a quote that I just thought was so profound. I said to and he'd be like, hmm, I don't really get it. And I, it's's kind of fun with quotes too. He'll say something all his own out and sometimes too like even for me I like rereading books because things will hit you at different walks of life. And sometimes you'll get so much from the first half of the book and nothing from the second half. And then as your life changes, your situation changes and you see things for a new light, you can get a whole new source of information from it. But hearing it from Mike Tyson and just hearing them say discipline is doing what you hate to do, but doing it like you love it, I was just like, this is so true. Like the other day, I didn't want to go to the gym. I go to the gym like I love it. Like it's the thing I'm most excited to do eating that healthy food being |
| 1:45.0 | forward like focus but anyhow that quote kind of drawed me into my second quote which is very |
| 1:50.5 | related to that as well and I think this is a season of motivation this is a season of like aspirations |
| 1:55.8 | obviously people want to put it off till the new year but people are starting to think about this |
| 2:00.0 | stuff who do I want to be next year what do I want to look like what I want my finances to be like what do I want to put it off till the new year but people are starting to think about this stuff who do i want to be next year what do i want to look like what i want my finances to be like what do i want to kind of |
| 2:05.6 | achieve and do that i've been putting off and i love this quote as well because i think it compliments |
| 2:10.9 | the other one so well and the quote is you have to be your best self when you're the least motivated so this kind of flips it on its head and it says like in those moments, even to the point of doing something like you love it when you don't want to do it, when you're least motivated and when you're down and out, those are the times where you owe it to yourself to be your best self, to be the most aware. That's what I always tell about people. Like when you get motivation and it comes to you, it's amazing. It's a gift. It's a bonus. It's sweet. But in terms of like when you're not feeling it, getting things done then is truly the secret to success and anything you want to do. Having that patience, having that foresight and really just having that dedication to note to do what you know |
| 2:52.1 | what you need to do in that situation great example is eating i know weekends are tougher for most people |
| 2:57.6 | they'll have great plans we're going to hit my macros i'm not going crazy tonight i've prelogged |
| 3:02.0 | and then sometimes you'll be in that moment i've mentioned before following the thread where the |
| 3:06.4 | dessert comes out and you're like i don't have calories for this saying yes, you have a bunch, then you end up getting more food later, and then you go, what did I do? You feel horrible the next day. You really start to lose belief in yourself that you can actually do these things. So in those moments, when you're the weakest, when there's that delicious pie that comes out and you don't have the calories, you need to say, no, I'm going to do the harder thing. When you don't want to go to the gym, |
| 3:27.0 | you go to the gym. When it's hard to go to bed, even this morning, I woke up and I was just like, oh, my bed's so comfortable. I never hit snooze, but I'm like, oh, maybe I'll hit. And I'm like, no and I jumped out of bad like you just need to win those weak moments and they're the |
| 3:40.5 | hardest moments to |
| 3:41.5 | win. But I think even acknowledging like I feel weak, I don't feel as motivated. I know I'm not |
| 3:46.6 | in a great mindset, but I'm still going to make that good decision. You'll really start to believe that |
| 3:51.6 | about yourself more and more and you'll see more progress because of it. And like we've even mentioned |
| 3:56.0 | before like if you shouldn't lie to anyone and you should never lie to yourself. So I think like doing what you say and really becoming that person who knows you can trust yourself, you can count on yourself when things get hard. Like even in sports are always talking about how the best players like when they need that one point, you can give them the ball, you can count on them, you can trust them because they've done that work to have that discipline they have that confidence and i think |
