films in the 90s each with a vision, style, and sense of story uniquely

their own. We've already talked about two of them, Quentin Tarantino and

Paul Thomas Anderson. This Friday on the Cinem files we take our first journey into

the intricate, painterly, and endlessly fascinating world of West Anderson and the film which first brought

him to national attention 1998's Rushmore starring Jason Schwartzman in his first film

and Bill Murray in the role that

redefined his career Rushmore is the story of a precocious teenager, a wealthy

industrialist, a beautiful teacher, and a world that could only come from

the imagination of Wes Anderson.

With beautiful images, brilliant dialogue, a great soundtrack, and a story that is endlessly

surprising, Rushmore is unlike anything that came came before, and we had a great time talking about
