Hi, this is Steve. I spent the last half an hour trying to come up with a clever little preview for Rocky this week's episode on the cinephiles. I've tried introducing it from a historical perspective, from a personal one. I've tried contrasting Rocky with the other great movie franchises.

And today we're doing a movie that's just really special to me. Yeah special to both of us. Yeah, this is Rocky yeah

1976. How'd you first come to it? Rocky was something I saw as a kid. I remember seeing it on TV. My parents did not take me to see this one, but I did see it on TV and I just was obsessed. Like I'm one of these guys that is a massive Stallone fan, massive Rocky fan.

So for me, it was great to see that film and connect with some of the character as downtrodden

as against the odds as Rocky was, you know, growing up in as with the world as it was here in this country at times and also like not having a lot of money

I identified so powerfully with Rocky like we didn't we grew up poor like we didn't have a car
