going through, don't shift the conversation to make it about you

by relating an example of how you endured or are now enduring something even worse than what

they're experiencing. Learn to listen and empathize with those who share struggles. Now, if

appropriate, give advice, but only after you've listened, fully understand and demonstrate empathy.

Don't make someone else's trauma or drama about you.

Because it's not about you.

It's about you handling well the opportunities to positively impact those who cross your path each day.
