Welcome to the Game Changer Life. I'm Dave Anderson in our Agora Hills, California studio.

And the topic I like to talk about today is seven keys to getting ahead. Now, there are a lot more than

seven, but we're going to have time, make time for about seven. And getting ahead in what you may

wonder, well, just about anything, really, depending on what you do, I think you'll find

applicable ideas here. And you probably are already doing some of these things if you've listened

to the podcast for a while,

but maybe there's one or two you could add. And if you're not doing them, well, this is low-hanging

fruit for becoming more valuable. Because I think, you know what, when you work on doing the

things I'm going to talk about to help you get ahead, to help people trust you more, want to give you

more opportunities, want to give you more responsibility, want to give you more empowerment,

all those things that come with getting ahead, you've got to become more valuable. So they'll

help you become more valuable. Because of the things you do to

become more valuable, you're going to find that you earn more trust and a better reputation that brings

those things that's going to bring you more opportunities and responsibilities. I mean, you know,

you're going to brand yourself differently. We all have a brand. You've heard me talk about that.

The brand is based on

people's experiences with you. And if you have a brand in your workplace of someone who doesn't keep

commitments, does baseline work, makes excuses, and believe me, that's some people's brand. That's

not how you get ahead.
