Summary

Do you know how you solve problems? When faced with a brand new challenge, how do you analyze a problem and take action?

Today, we introduce you to our secret weapon in the $ix Figures Lab coaching program - the Kolbe A™ index. Looking beyond intelligence and emotions, the Kolbe A™ index identifies your innate approach to problem solving.

Elizabeth Cook, our $ix Figures Lab Accountability Coach and Kolbe Certified Consultant, joins me on this episode as we dig into all things Kolbe. Fascinated by the science of motivation and supporting clients in their goals through accountability, Elizabeth brings her insatiable curiosity and critical thinking to each and every coaching conversation with clients. Discover the benefits of knowing your team members’ Kolbe scores, how it can change your relationships, both personal and professional, and why we pay for all of our clients to take the Kolbe as part of our $ix Figures Lab program.

We have a secret weapon in our six-figures lab group coaching program, which I am spilling the beans on

0:07.2

today. We provide custom coaching and strategy based on our client's Colby scores. If you're not

0:15.5

familiar with the Colby, it's spelled K-O-L-B-E. The Colby-A index was created by Kathy Colby

0:22.9

and looks beyond intelligence and emotions

0:26.1

to identify your innate approach to taking action.

Imagine my delight last year

0:33.5

when our accountability coach Elizabeth Cook shared with me

0:36.6

that she was becoming a Colby

0:39.1

certified consultant. Usually you'll hear Elizabeth join me as the co-host of this show,

0:45.9

but today she is my honored guest, and I am interviewing her about all things Colby.

0:53.7

Elizabeth uses the Colby 8 index not only with her work

0:56.8

at Bizchicks, but also in her own coaching and consulting practice. She loves to help clients use it to

1:03.4

create more ease in their work and in their teams. You will notice that Elizabeth is fascinated

1:10.2

by the science of motivation and excels at

1:13.3

creating accountability to support clients in reaching their goals and milestones. I am always so

1:19.9

impressed with how Elizabeth prioritizes time with her husband and three daughters who are 19 to 22.

1:30.8

And she also, this is a little known fact,

1:37.5

she serves her community alongside her sweet golden doodle Leo. And Leo is also certified, not in the Colby, but he's a certified therapy dog. Oh, Elizabeth and I have very different Colby scores, which can cause us to have

1:48.6

conflict at times and has. But as we have both learned more about the Colby, we have learned to

1:56.9

celebrate and lean into what the other brings to the table.

2:01.8

And understanding it has been not only a huge benefit to our clients, but also to our

2:07.2

working relationship.
