This morning, speaking to our mutual friend Roger Helmer, the ex-Brussels MEP. I think he met him once at the live show back at the Theodore Bullfrog. He was the guy who got sick in all the drip trays and then

triggered the fire alarm when he tried to run away. Excellent guy, loads of fun. Anyway,

he's asked if I'd be interested in helping him out a little problem he's got. As you know,

Roger is a keen athlete. He's training for a charity 10K in October to raise money for Luis Rubialis, the head of the

Spanish FAA. He's been having a rotten time of it lately. And he was wondering if I knew a

professional sports masseuse who could help keep his calf muscles from freezing up between runs.

You know, keep it nice and limber.

I seem to remember you have some experience in this area back from when your mum had her leg

thick. So yeah, naturally I floated your name and Roger seemed very interested. He would,

of course, pay you for your time and I think it would just be a couple of hours a week,

tops, depending on how quickly his calves sort of adapt to his new regime. No pressure, just I know you've been a bit strapped for cash lately ever since the pub burned down.

I wanted to bring this to you first before Gav or Joe sort of jumped at the opportunity.

Yeah, I think I do remember running into him at the

Theodore Ballfrog, but he was having so much fun that night. I don't think he really had

time to talk. He wasn't the one hiding under the table, wasn't he, most of the evening, just

grabbing hold of women's ankles as they walk past. He is certainly a character.
