Summary

Today, I’m talking about taking a break. A real break.

Not just rest. Not just vacation. But intentional time away from everything you usually do.

Stepping away gives you perspective. You get to see your life clearly - maybe for the first time.

Whether you run a home, have a corporate job, or own your own business, creating space is essential.

I share exactly how I planned my break, what I discovered, and why you need one too.

You’ll learn how to step away to appreciate your journey. You’ll acknowledge your mistakes. And you'll reconnect with what you genuinely want.

Give yourself permission to pause. Reflect. Then redecide your future.

What You Will Discover:

  • Why everyone should plan a midlife break - just like retirement.
  • The powerful difference between planned breaks and emergency escapes.
  • How to prepare financially, emotionally, and practically to take at least three months off.
  • Exactly what to do (and not do) during your break to gain clarity.
  • The profound impact a true break has on your relationships, identity, and future plans.

Why I'm here is because so many of you wrote to me and texted me and communicated to me and had so

the podcast that I decided to do another one, answer a bunch of your questions and also talk

0:44.1

about something that's been on my mind a lot and that is taking a break. And I have so many

0:52.2

thoughts and so many ideas about taking a break from life, from work,

I'm excited to record this podcast for you because I'm excited to invite each of you to do this. I'm currently in my

1:12.8

home in San Diego. I think I told you all in the last podcast, I bought a beautiful house in

1:17.4

Lake Tahoe that I'm absolutely obsessed with, but I already have my house here in San Diego,

1:24.4

which I'm absolutely obsessed with. So I have these two houses.

1:27.8

And it's great because San Diego is amazing in the winter when it is snowy and cold in Lake Tahoe.

1:34.9

And there are a couple months here in San Diego where it's like pretty gray. They call it like

1:40.7

May gray and June gloom. And those months are absolutely stunning in Lake Tahoe.

1:46.7

So I'm balancing between two homes right now. And it's like the perfect combination for me.

1:53.6

So right now I'm in San Diego. I came here to take care of some things, namely my hair. And I have extensions in my hair, so I come to my

2:05.2

person who does my hair here, and I want to check on the house and pay some bills and do some

2:09.6

hiking here. So I'm going to go play a pickleball with my girlfriend and then head back over to

2:16.2

Nevada. But while I'm here, I thought, hey, I'm going to record a
