Hey guys it's Rachel and this is a quick word on fear of failure.

If there's one question that I have gotten more than any other, if there's one thing that

people bring up at every conference, at every event that I speak at when they see me at the airport or a coffee shop,

inevitably the conversation turns to what if I fail? What if get this wrong what if I go after the dream and it doesn't

work what if I start the business and I lose all the money I invested in it.

What if I actually give my heart to someone and they end up hurting me?

What if I go to therapy to work through this BS from my childhood and I open Pandora's box and it

gets way worse before it gets better. What if? What if? What if? What if?

What if? So I'm going to ask you guys the same question

that I ask at those conferences,

at the speaking events,

to the woman who comes up to me at the airport

or the coffee shop, I'm going to ask you if you are actually afraid of

failing or if you are afraid of other people watching you fail.

Because those are two completely different things.

Most people have a fear that's really centralized in their ego.

They have this idea of who they are.

They have this idea of who other people think they are.

And they're terrified of doing something that steps outside of those boundaries.

They're terrified of their sister watching them

not finish the half marathon they signed up for.

They're terrified of the girls from middle school
