Bullying is really one of the most painful of childhood experiences

and for the ADHD child bullying can be especially problematic.

Studies show that a majority of ADHD children struggle with bullying either as a target, a bullet being the bully themselves

or both.

ADHD kids in particular commonly exhibit a pattern of behavior that increases the likelihood of

social rejection and bullying. So the most effective way of buffering your child

against bullying is by helping to manage their ADHD symptoms

through medical, educational, and behavioral interventions and by acting as your child's social coach to help improve their skills.
