Hello, hello, this is Evan Jones, welcome to the podcast. I am very lucky to have with me today

Michael Rosen. Now, Michael Rosen is one of the world's best loved children's authors. He was

extremely ill with COVID-19. He nearly died because of COVID-19. He was hospitalized for a very

long time. He's recovering. He's still suffering the consequences, though. So I spoke to him

about his new book, many different kinds of love. A story of life, death, and the NHS.

A beautiful book, as you'd expect, from a brilliant writer. I spoke to him about his near-death

experience, about what he went through, about what he's learned, about the stigma of death,

which we find very difficult to talk about. About the National Health Service, about the Government's

catastrophic handling of the pandemic. So it's a really interesting, it's a fascinating,

in fact, very personal interview, which I really, really recommend. It's a life-of-thirming interview.

Michael, it is wonderful to see you looking very well. First, see how, just tell me how you're

doing in the moment, how life it, where are we? In March, it's nearly a year since the pandemic

happened and everything that happened, of course, with you. So just tell me, tell me how

you feel and how you're feeling about everything.

Well, I'll do the kind of moaning bit first, if you like. That's what my dad would call

the Kvech. So we'll have a little moaning bit. So this eye doesn't really see very well.
