Hey everybody and welcome back to I Just Want to talk about the Bible.

My name is Christian Keeter and I live in the southeast of the United States of America with my amazing, beautiful godly wife Lacey and our two wonderful daughters,

Felicity and Serenity.

So today we are going to be looking at an obscure passage from the Old Testament in the book of

Jeremiah.

And it's going to be from the, from chapters 42 and 43 not too long ago I finished reading

the book of Jeremiah and there's a certain principle from this passage that really just kind of

stands out to me that I think has a lot of application for us I think that we need to look at

and so this entire episode is going to be, you know,

framed up in just one question. By the end of this, this is, we're all building towards

just one singular question that we have to ask ourselves. And how we respond to this question

reveals a lot about our measure of surrender to the Lord, our measure of obedience to the Lord,

and how much we actually want the Lord's will

versus just our own wills. And so it's a very searching question. It's a difficult question,

and it's a question that I have at various points in my walk with the Lord. If I were answering

it honestly, I wouldn't say necessarily what we all know to be the right answer.

But we'll get to that in just a minute.

So it's from Jeremiah 42.
