Hey everybody and welcome back to I Just Want to talk about the Bible.

If this is your first time joining us, then let me just welcome you and say that I'm very glad that you're here.

My name is Christian Keeter and I live in the southeast of the United States of America with my amazing, beautiful, godly

wife Lacey and our two wonderful daughters, Felicity and Serenity.

So we are going to begin today by jumping right into an account from the life of Jesus

that's recorded in John chapter 2. And we are not going to try to do an exhaustive study on

this passage or anything like that today,

although that would certainly be a good and helpful thing to do.

But rather, I hope to draw out just one principle in particular out of this passage

that will be an encouragement and a help to you and your walk with the Lord.

And so, like I said, this is John chapter 2.

This is the wedding at Cana where Jesus turns water to wine. So let's just begin by reading

through the passage. This is John 2, 1 through 11, and then we'll talk about it. So it says,

On the third day, there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of

Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. When the wine ran out,

the mother of Jesus said to him, they have no wine. And Jesus said to her, woman, what does this

have to do with me? My hour has not yet come. His mother said to the servants, do whatever he

tells you. Now there were six

stone water jars there for the Jewish rights of purification, each holding 20 or 30 gallons. Jesus said

to the servants, fill the jars with water, and they filled them up to the brim. And he said to them,

Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast, so they took it. When the

master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from,
